African Health Action Corporation (AHA) is a community Based Organization, located in Minneapolis, MN. AHA provides low cost or free services to African Immigrants and refugees, African American, and anybody seeking AHA's services

The organization was incorporated in December 2004 as Zyombi International Project.

The IRS determination letter establishing its 501 (c) 3 status was received in July 2006.

The organization’s name changed to African Health Action Corporation in January 2007.

African Health Action has been recognized for quality and excellence through individual effort and team work for constant presence in the community, the quality of service delivered, professionalism of staff, and for great collaborations with other organizations. African Health Action has developed over the years, extensive experience serving hard-to-reach populations including high risk heterosexual immigrant adults and youths.

AHA Outcomes since 2005


  • Served approximately 32,000 Africans immigrant and refugees adults and youths through our educational programs
  • Provided more than 1,200 HIV tests and/or Hepatitis C tests
  • Gave away 1,300 toys to African and Vietnamese children
  • Provided 150 school supplies to African youths age 15 to 24
